Hi

Did you try a reimage process using img file?
If not working after reimage, I'd recommend to open a TAC case.
Was this module working and is it the first time you're trying to bring it up?

Thanks
Francesco

The module will remain in "init" state until you console in and complete the installation by installing the system image on top o f the boot image.

Thanks for the replies.
I tried to cover everything in my post but missed more steps I tried. Prior to posting I did try to console and complete install. I get this:

session sfr
Opening command session with module sfr.
Module sfr did not respond to session request.

and

if I add console onto the end it just hangs:

session sfr console
Opening console session with module sfr.
Connected to module sfr. Escape character sequence is 'CTRL-^X'.

<nothing>

It won't let you uninstall the module completely and start from scratch?

sw-module module sfr uninstall

You might also try reloading the appliance (cold power cycle - power off, remove power input completely and then restore power) first before trying the uninstall.

I ended up raising a case and got this issue resolved.

my guy, may you provide your resolution? i'm having the same issue 6.2.3.3-76 modules managed by FMC 6.2.3.3-76 - some are falling into INIT state with no reason at all. Reloading the ASA is the only thing that resolves the issue so far. It's happening on various models in the 5500-x series.
