I have a VSS 6500 switches where I need to create 2 monitor sessions from one source VLAN 10 (which is the outside interface of the ASA module) and destination is 2 different physical ports one is G1/1/1 and G2/1/1
The question is if I create 2 monitor sessions as below and span the traffic to 2 different physical ports on the VSS will both devices receive the span traffic?
monitor session 1 source interface vlan10
monitor session 1 destination interface G1/1/1
monitor session 2 destination interface vlan10
monitor session 2 source interface G2/1/1
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Hi,
You can have multiple destination ports in a SPAN session. Add in one line both interfaces separated by comma.
monitor session 1 destination interface G1/1/1, G2/1/1

The question he is asking is whether local SPAN is maintained across
switches in a VSS set. I think he was referring to having destination ports
on multiple switches in the VSS group.
