-- Each morning when I wake up and look into the mirror I always say ' Why am I so brilliant ? '
When the mirror will then always repond to me with ' The only thing that exceeds your brilliance is your beauty! '

I am already on 9.16. this bug is very old as well.

Error Message %ASA-6-611102: User authentication failed: IP = IP address, Uname: user

Explanation User authentication failed when attempting to access the ASA. The username is hidden when invalid or unknown, but appears when valid or the no logging hide username command has been configured.

so if the user is not enter correctly or user is invalid or unknown then it will appear as hidden

MHM

no logging hide username command

I have seen the CISCO documentation for above command, which seems to be insufficient. Any better explanation of this command in reference  to link it to above explanation of yours.
