Installing a single node ND to replicate what DCNM gave us. DCNM was used to monitor nexus switches. During ND cluster bring up I have Fabric Controller or Orchestrator options. Neither seem to fit monitoring of the environment. Which is the best option to use?
Thanks

Hi Michael,
"Fabric Controller" (aka NDFC) is the evolution of DCNM. It's pretty much the same product with a newer name, and additional functionality. There's a guide on migrating your existing DCNM instance to NDFC here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/dcn/nd/3x/deployment/cisco-nexus-dashboard-and-services-deployment-guide-311/nd-upgrade-dcnm.html

Hello @michael18
Cisco NDFC (former DCNM) runs as an application on Cisco Nexus Dashboard (ND).
ND is a single launch point to monitor and scale across different sites, whether it is Cisco ACI fabric controllers, the Cisco APIC, or Cisco Nexus NDFC.

Thanks for your responses. I have tried that guide but decided to install rather than upgrade. Ive got very little experience with python.
I got to the point where I needed to choose a persona. I chose what I thought would replicate DCNM, the SAN controller but im not sure that gives me what I need. I'll try again soon.
Thanks
