Port Grouping in Nexus 9336c-FX2

Hi

I read on the cisco website that for some Nexus 9000 Switches we have a concept of Port Groups. That means for example in a group of four interfaces, if we configure one port in 40GE mode then we cannot configure the other three ports with another speed.  For example, we cannot configure one port in 100GE mode and another one in 10GE mode (Using CVR)

I wonder if this limitation is applicable for Nexus 9336c-FX2. I did not see any notation in the switch documentation.

Thank you

There is no port grouping on 9336c-fx2, however, you should check https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/?si=9336c-FX2 for optics-to-ports compatibility.

Stay safe,

Sergiu

Dear Sergiu

By "Port mapping" do you mean "Port Grouping"?

Anyway regarding your second note Yeah I checked that link and found useful information.

Thank you

Correct, "port grouping". I will correct the original post as well.

Thank you

Old thread, but since it comes up when you try to google this topic, I thought I would provide some info.
Release notes for 9300-fx2 series switches.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/nexus-9000-series-switches/datasheet-c78-742282.html

You find the following info under supported speed for the 9336C-FX2∕9336C-FX2-E;

1/10/25/40/100-Gbps Ethernet

Breakout supported on all ports, 1-36:

100G, 2x50G NRZ,

40G native, 4x10/25G (10G w/QSA)

1G w/QSA except ports 1-6 and 33-36

The compability matrix suggest the CVR adapter is not compatible with the switches, but QSA adapters clearly are as pr statement in datasheet.
Also found another piece of info on a linecard module for 9600 switches and the CVR adapter, that the port config need to be in default state when connecting it.
