I am using this URL:http://localhost:8080/restconf/streams/device-notifications/xml to receive device notifications as stream, but fail to get any response. The request status says 200 OK and request type is GET. Accept type is text/event-stream. I do not et any responses even if a new device is added, deleted or edited. Am I doing something wrong here

The stream device-notifications notifies you when a notification is received from a device. The things you are describing here are probably not generating any notifications from the device.

Even if I have a sync from or sync to failure it is not giving any notifications. Do you know a specific scenario to receive a notification that I can test to see if my call is working and giving a response or not?

If the device is a netconf device and sends a notification is the easiest one to get a device notifications.
