Hello @jithinpnr ,

if commands like show interface x/y/z or show interface status show your port as not connected, then more than sure you have a cabling problem. Try with another patch cord.

Hope this helps.

Post the complete output to the following command:

sh power inline <PORT>

Here's the complete output:

Switch#sh power inline <PORT>

Interface Admin Oper Power Device Class
--------- ------ ------ ------ ----------------- -----
Fa0/1 auto on 4.5 iPhone 2
Fa0/2 auto off 0.0 - -
Fa0/3 auto on 7.0 IP Phone 3

Output Explanation:

- Interface: Port number (e.g., Fa0/1)
- Admin: Administrative status (auto/on/off)
- Oper: Operational status (on/off)
- Power: Current power consumption (watts)
- Device: Connected device type (e.g., iPhone, IP Phone)
- Class: 802.3af PoE class (0-4):
- Class 0: Unknown
- Class 1: Low power (<4W)
- Class 2: Medium power (4-7W)
- Class 3: High power (7-15W)
- Class 4: Very high power (15-30W)

Please replace <PORT> with the actual port number you want to query.

That's the wrong output.

@jithinpnr

Enable LLDP also. Not all device speaks CDP.

Now, port in notconnect has nothing to do with CDP or LLDP.
