Hi everybody,
Is there a way to know if a cisco switch accepts service unsupported-transceiver command without trying?
I am plannin to use a SX550x switch and want to know if I can use 1G SX transceivers (they are not cisco branded) that I have with this switch. I know that they work on C2960S switch. From earlier experience I know that some cisco switches does not accept thirt party sfp enabling command. (like C1000 series)
Also in more general, where can I learn if a switch accepts this command without trying on the switch?
I would appreciate if anybody can answer.

as per my experiance, SX series switches do not support this command. you have to plug and check the logs. but it is not recommended. risk is yours

we cannot guarantee 3rd party SFPs in cisco switches. you can try unsupported command. but you need to test it. check the console logs for module detection status.

I know the risk and am accepting it.
So SX550X switch does accept the "service unsupported-transceiver" command, right?
