Hello,
I have a customer that purchased a 9300 series switch and a 9300x series switch with the intention of stacking the switches before I explained to them that they are not compatible. So now they want to use 10G SFP's in a LAG to connect the switches. However, they are going to be in the same rack so patch cord length is going to be under a meter so I am feeling like Mode Conditioning is going to be required.
What is the best practice here knowing that they are not going to return the switches and are going to move forward with a fiber connection between switches.
Switch Models: C9300X-24Y-E & C9300-24P-E with WS-C9300-NM-8X
SFP Model: SFP-10G-SR-S

if 10G-SR-S - Multimode fibre Patch OM4 is good enough to connect each other

9300X can be stacked with 9300.
9300L can only be stacked with 9300L.

Assuming your 9300 isn't a 9300L, and can be stacked with the 9300X, if you need to resort to interconnecting stack members, for such close in proximity (?) switches (i.e. same rack), you might want to check whether 10g copper is an option.
As to using LAG, unlike what typical "sales literature" implies, a dual link, for example, that "doubles" your aggregate bandwidth doesn't actually double your average effective bandwidth, it's more like a 50% increase (this also assuming the best ideal hashing algorithm, for your traffic, is being used - worst case, you can a 0% increase).
