The x indicates 1, 2, 2.5 or 3 m length for this breakout transceiver. Compatibility should be the same as for the QDD-400-CU1M assemblies.

While I agree on the lengths, the QDD-400 and the QDD-4ZQ100 are not the same thing, so there is no assurance the compatibility is the same. The QDD-4ZQ100 is breakout cable from 400G port to four 100GE. While one side is actually QSFP-DD 400G the switch still has to support the break out feature.

Thanks Daniel. My only concern is that I am not sure which system will support the 4x QSFP56 100GBASE-CR2 and which system can breakout to 4x100GAUI-2 for the QDD side.

As I said, you should check with cisco support. They havent updated their tmx matrix yet.
