I have a 3640 router with 1 Voice T1 and a FXO card with a PSTN connection. The PSTN connection is only suppose to be used for fallback mode when the Call Manager is down. My local carrier requires 10 digit calling on the T1. The PSTN connection allows 7 digit dialing so when a user only dials 7 digits the call is sent out the PSTN which takes around 10 seconds to place the call. If they dial the same number with all 10 digits the call is placed within 3 seconds on the T1. How can I only allow outgoing calls to use the PSTN only when the Call Manager is down? I have the SRST feature set loaded on this router and it's currently setup as a h.323 gateway. Any ideas?

Can you explain what route patterns on the CallManager are being used when everything is up and running, and also send the output of show dial-peer voice summary so we can get a better understanding of how the dial plan on the router is configured?

I have a single outbound route pattern of 9.@. Is there a way to direct this outbound pattern to a port of the gateway? Here is the voice call sum output:

No, when using H.323, it is up to the gateway to determine where to route the call. The output I wanted was as I stated: show dial-peer voice summary and not what you sent which was show voice call summary. Thanks.

Does changing the Route Pattern's Route Filter from "None" to "7-digit dialing" speed up the call processing?
