5.x and 6.x phone firmware -- difference?

I was looking through the release notes, etc and can't find what the main difference is between the 5.x and 6.x releases is.

Other then that 6.x is compatible with 3.3 and 4.0, and 5.x is compatible with 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3, is there anything else besides new features in 6.x for 4.0 use? 5.x releases are bug fixes mainly.

So for CM 3.3 users, is there any advantage using 6.x over 5.x?

I don't think there is any advantage for the 7940/7960 phones. The look&feel is a little more like the 7970 - that's all.

For the 7970 there are some bugfixes. We had two bugs with the 5.x firmware, which are resolved in version 6.x.
