hello
i hearded somewhere that if you full all PoE ports on a switch with 7911G phones, there are resets very often. because i address the some problem with the specific ip phones on poe switches, does anybody know if there is any solution. Maybe a firmware upgrade for phones or the 2960E series switches which is new.
thanks

According to this doc Cisco Catalyst 2960
I haven heard any reports for this,
7911G is a class II
Use http://tools.cisco.com/cpc/launch.jsp
to get an accurate calculation

Hi Bill,
This calculator does not have the 2960E but I did the calculation for the;
WS-C2960-24PC-L
With 24 7911 IP Phones and only 32.43 % of the available power was being consumed. So I don't see this as an issue.
Hope this helps!

ok so i guess that C3560E-48PD-SF which is more powerfull it cant behave strangly although im not so sure that all these sudden resets comes from power misconfiguration.in my situation the switch is a 500 express 25 ports and i hope 2960E and 3560E be more steady.
