An old fashioned party line on VoIP phones

We need to have 20 people in one building be able to all converse at once. Is there a 3rd party solution that can do this? Each phone has that DN programmed. It is an emergency number for medical assistance (AED). If someone has a health issue all AED group members need to jump on a party line to figure out who does what until an ambulance arrives.

If you are using Cisco CallManager you really don't need any third party software, but you would need to use it slightly differntly than just "get on the line". Cisco Call Manager has "MeetMe" conference numbers which you could setup. The first person would hit the "MeetMe" softkey and dial a predefined conference number. Each additional person would simply dial the MeetMe number from their extension. You would then have a conference call and everyone could talk to each other.

Thanks for the response. I think my problem is limited resources. Our new system has been set up with a limit of 4 users per Meet Me because we don't have outboard DSP resources yet. It looks like that's what I need to add to increase my Meet Me capabilities to extend to at least 16. Thanks. We have a new (in process) installation of Call Manager 3.3. I appreicate your response.

Berbee.com has a couple of different intercom like systems. Text messages, etc.

But - you can also download the sdk and there are a lot of sample apps provided (text to phones, limited intercom system, cisco hoot and holler, etc.) with the sdk.

Have you increased the default number of meetme participants and truly exhausted or challenged the resources of the call manager(s)? You can obviously modify this via the service parameters.

If you have enough line presences, you could have use plar to send the chosen dn to the meetme bridge.
