AS5300 with 7204 router providing dialup access for a legacy system

Hi,

Currently have an AS5300 with 1 T1 access (for now), the 7204 is connected to mainframe via Escon and the '5300 is then connected to it via the 10/100 port. The config. of the 7204 is set up to have a gateway of 192.168.1.241 (mask 255.255.255.0) while its IP is 192.168.1.240. Now the AS5300 is also set up on the gatway and can ping the 7204. However, cannot ping to the 10BT port out to a hub or a workstation. Also, when I set my laptop in the network as say 192.168.1.247 I can't ping from it to the the 7204 router. What is limiting ping access to the 10BT port the configs on the devices are not apparent as limiting. So far the dialup lines come in and are set up to not allow access.

I think you have misplaced your post. This forum is for discussing voice technology.

You might want to open a case with TAC if you cannot find your answer elsewhere.

If you have a CCO account, you can go to http://www.cisco.com/tac
