Hi,
I would like to use the ATA-186 for IP telephony,
However, my band width between the two nodes (ATA-186) will be 192 Kbps, and I'll need most bandwidth to my uses.
How much bandwidth will the ATA-186 take for voice and is it possible to limit it to a specific bandwidth 8/16Kbps ?
If not, would you recommend using it or maybe there is some other solution.
Thanks
Vago Guy

Off of this URL-
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/voip/ata_gatekeeper.html
You will see what codecs the ATA can use. Then this URL will tell you how much BW each codec requires-
http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/788/pkt-voice-general/bwidth_consume.html
So it depends on what codec you use.
