ATA-186, can they be config without CCM or gateway?point to point??

Hello all,

I find my self with two ata-186's that I would like to use from one ip network -- through the internet --- to the other ip network. Ca. to Hi. thought it be fun to set up. Can this be done WITHOUT Callmanager or a Gateway server. Can it be done with just IOS ??

This is possible with all h.323 gatekeeper or gateway (IOS IS GATEKEEPER AND GATEWAY).

Have open H.323 for linux , this work same form IOS Gateway or Gatekeeper.

Is possible you connect both ata186 over internet if all stay connect to open h.323.

Sure can. Using the H323 firmware, just point the gateway entries on each ATA to the IP address of the other unit. Then just dial the number assigned to the other unit.
