ATA 188

Is there a distance limitation of an ATA from the analog device that is being attached to it?? in this case fax machines.

There are many factors to consider with distance limitations on analog devices such as cable type, how many devices are connected etc. but in general Cisco claims that a single traditional telephone can be up to 3200 feet from the ATA 188.

Thanks for the info.it answered a few questions.I had someone tell me that the ATA had to be colocated with the phone or fax machine.thanks again!!!
