In a menu the "barge in" and "flush input buffer" is both set to "yes".

When a caller phone in they cannot interrupted the prompt but any keys they press are remembered and as soon as the prompt ends they are routed to that option. How do I change this that input from the caller are only excepted after the prompt ends.

Hi,

You need to set the Barge-In to "NO" in Menu Step Properties->Prompt Tab, so that the prompt must complete playback before the caller can respond.

Following is from Cisco CRA Editor Step Reference Guide for Menu Step

http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/sw_ap_to/apps_3_1/english/admn_app/step_ref/media.ht

Barge In

If Yes, the caller can interrupt the prompt.

If No, the prompt must complete playback before the caller can respond.

Hope it helps. Try this and let me know the result.

Hi,

The editor step refernce guide should explain you clearly about the difference in "Barge in" and "flush input buffer" settings in Menu step.

If you donot want the customer to interrupt the prompt in between, you need to set barge in as "YES".

Barge in - If Yes, the caller can interrupt the prompt.

If No, the prompt must complete playback before

the caller can respond.

Flush Input Buffer - If Yes, the system erases previously entered input

before capturing caller input.

If No, the system does not erase previously

entered input before capturing caller input.
