have a new BE6K and we have a stock brokerage firm that has 6-people on the intial hunt group.  Client wants all 6-lines to ring at the same time until the phone is answered.  Question?  If employee A answering an incoming call and the line rings, employee A can't transfer or dispose of that call to answer the new incoming call.  It worked on the UC540, but won't work on the BE6K.....suggestions?  doesn't make sense.  Do we have to limit the Hunt group to one person and all 6 employees would each have their own hunt group?  Also using SIP lines coming in.  Please Help.

Hi Bryan,

The Hunt group's work irrespective of the VM,

Please configure the following using the Broadcast Algorithm and the ring to all members in a line group will be done simultaneously

1) Create a line group, and add the 6 lines you want in the group. Set the Distribution Algorithm to Broadcast.

2) Create a hunt list, and add the line group

3) Create a hunt pilot, and give it a number, and select the hunt list. Also on here, configure max hunt timer to how long you want it to ring before going to VM, and set the Busy/No Answer to your voicemail pilot number.

4) Finally, set the fwd busy/no answer of each of the 6 lines to the hunt pilot number.

Exactly what happens when you try to transfer a call if it arrived via the line group?
