Hi All,
One of my users is complaining of an intermittent buzzing noise on his handset (7960 IP phone). We have determined that this is not coming from the IP Telephony system, but seems to be caused by some kind of electronic noise that the analog audio side of the phone (handset) is picking up. We have tried replacing the phone, but this seems to be caused by something in that office.
Has anyone else ever had this problem? How can I solve this? Is there any kind of 3rd party noise filter I can put inline with the handset cord?
Thanks, Randy

We're having the same issue w/ 7960's. In a few instances, there was interference with a Blackberry device. In other cases, there aren't any devices near the phone which we would suspect. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Any kind of wireless device will cause buzzing.
Our Nextel phone will cause a big buzz noise and it will cause IP Phone to reboot.
I called Cisco tac, they ship us new 7960 with different hardware design which can eliminate the reboot problem.
However, it wont eiliminate the buzzing.
I have to say sorry for that.
