Hi
I have a problem with one of the users transferring call.
Scenario:
Phone A when unanswered after 12 secs gets forwarded to phone B. Phone B picks the call and then wants to transfer it to phone A again, but the transfer fails as Phone A does not ring.
Phone A - 7940
Phone B - 7960 + 7914
Call forward CSS on Phone A is different from Call forward CSS in Phone B.
Also Phone A and phone B are in different device pools.
Please help me to resolve it.
Thanks

Hi Vinoth,
This is a rather strange problem isn't it. I don't think the Call Forward No Answer (12 second) CSS comes into play here, can Phone B call Phone A normally but just not Transfer back to it? Can phone B Transfer this same call to other phones? Can you try changing the Device CSS for Phone B to match the Device CSS of Phone A and see what happens. These should give you some ideas of what is happening.
Let us know,
Rob

Hi Rob
I think user of phone B was trying to pickup the call on the same shared line as the phone A, which will make the line tied up, ofcourse.
So we had setup a second line on Phone A and ask Phone B to transfer to the second line in Phone A.
Waiting for the feedback from the user ans shall confirms what happens then.
Many thanks for the feedback and shall try to update you.
Regards

Hi Vinoth,
Well, that certainly explains this issue and is one of the common user errors with Shared Lines. Your diagnosis of this is right on track!
Best of luck!
Rob
