I have cell phone service with AT&T. The calls going to the cell phone displays "unknown" as the caller id. Whereas if I call a cell phone with cingular, verizon, or alltel service the caller id number is displayed on the cell phone. What is the difference? How do I correct this problem?

This is commonly seen when the number being passed to the telco is not an ISDN National Number, or the number is not a 10 digit number. Use the ISDN Q.931 translator that comes with CM to validate the numbering plan type and translate the digits at the gateway if neccesarry to send 10 digits to the PSTN.

If you set the following gateway settings, it should work:
Calling party IE number type unknown* ---- National
Calling Numbering Plan* ---- ISDN
