Hi All,
I have a situation where about 10 phones (7940) have the same shared DN on the second line. This is the main department number, and anyone can pickup this line. This is CCM 4.0(1).
The problem is sometimes the calls are slow to display on the phones. For example, if someone calls into the shared line, a user answers, then puts the call on hold. It might take up to 10 seconds for the hold status to display on the phones, so that the other users can pick up the call.
Where does the display line status originate from, the Publisher or Subscriber? The Subscriber is on the same subnet as the phones, but the Publisher is on a different subnet.
Thanks, Randy

display line status originate from, the Publisher and I suspect that you might be running into a bug here

It originates from whatever CCM that the phone is registered to. The best way to see if it is network delay is to compare the CCM traces from the CCM's that the phones are registed to to a sniffer that is capturing data from the phone port, make sure you time sync the CCM & the sniffer. YOu may also want to capture a sniffer trace from the CCM as well.
