CCM 3.33 change ext. doesn't take effect on phone

CCM 333 with Sr4. We pulled one drive from production and put in the lab and it''s running. lab phone are automatically registered(1029 and 1030). But the phone didn't get reset at all and didn't change phone ext on the display after I modified the ext.(1029 to 3411 and 1030 to 3412) and reset the phone. Even diconnect the phone and register. ON the ccm it shows the modified ext. Both phones have the same problem. Phone will ring if I call 1030 from 1029 and vice versa. So it looks the change never worked. Anybody has comment on this?

Make sure you reset the phone in callmanager, not on the phone itself.

My testing shows, if you make most changes in Callmanager hit UPDATE, then reset the phone at the phone itself, it doesn't take the change. Have to UPDATE, then RESET in Callmanager admin.

I never tried taking a drive out and putting it in another non-production server.

When you view the page in the CM, are you sure it's registered with the server you're on? I've seen this issue when a phone is registered to a different server (even a subscriber)?
