(REPOSTED FROM IP TELEPHONY FORUM)
CCME 4.0, CUE 2.3.4
We have the need for the following:
A CEO/Road Warrior has his admin at HQ arrange conference calls. She does an ad-hoc conference to bring in third-parties, then puts herself on hold or mute and continues with her work while the CEO discusses world domination ;-) with the third party. When the conference call is over the third party drops, but the CEO stays on and wants the admin (who's on hold or muted) to somehow be notified that she can resume talking and presumably arrange subsequent conferences. Apparently this "notification after conference completion" was a feature in their past phone system, but is not available in CCME. Anyone with an idea, please respond.
Thanks and regards,

One work around is to have a "pre-typed" text message pushed out to admin lady, along with a ringer to get her attention. CEO can push out this message using a speed dial button. In this case speed dial will be used as a service URL.
You might be able to do this using PhoneTop Messenger. This product allows sending text and audio message to IP phone groups. You can also send out a pre-typed text message from an IP phone.
Is is for CCM express or regular CCM?

Sorry, CCME 4.0, CUE 2.3.4
Problem is the CEO is dialing in from the road (hence "Road Warrior") via his cell phone. Is there a DTMF option to generate the notification?

Using JTAPI, you can see events from CCM and then you can program the system to send out a text message to a predefined phone group when certain event is detected.
One possibility is to look for number of connections on that conference call. When the connections drop to "1" (admin phone is the only one left), push text to admin phone.
I am not sure if you can capture DTMF from JTAPI. That may be a way to go.
Sounds like this will be a small custom application.

Looks like you can detect DTMF digits using JTAPI, using getDtmfDigit method.
So this custom application has to sit there and wait for certain DTMF sequence, and then push out a text message with ringer to admin phone.

Sounds promising. Can you contact me to discuss a potential consulting offer? (contact info below) It's a small app, but it's something we'd like to have.

Does CCME support JTAPI? It didn't the last time I looked ...

No, CCME still does not support JTAPI :(
The other alternate is to use SIP. It appears that folks are able to read DTMF on CME 3.3 running SIP.

Our basic requirement is only to send notification to a specific DN when the # of conference participants (that includes a specific DN) drops to 2.
