I want to change the name of my CCM server when I upgrade to 3.3.3 from 3.2.2c. Has anyone done this? I know with SQL7 it was close to impossible, but with SQL2K it is a bit easier.

It cannot be done. THis is a limitation of SQL not CCM. In SQL once the database is created you are not able to change the name of the server without recreating the database and repopulating it. TO change the name of the CCM you would need to build one of the servers as a new publisher and then populate it with you current data and then rebuild all of the subscribers. you will not be able to upgrade and then restore the database on a server that has a different name.

I found the information at Microsoft of how to make a name change for sql, I am going to give it a go on a lab server. It looks pretty straight forward.
