I have a CCM 3.3(2)spC installation using extension mobility. User device profiles are also subscribed to Fast Dials and Personal Address book. The PINs for all three services were originally set the same. If a user then modifies the EM PIN via CCMUser I receive authentication errors when accessing FD and PAB. Change the FD and PAB PIN to the EM PIN and everything works fine. This does mean changing the pwd in three separate places. I have tried modifying the Phone service for FD and PAB not to include the PIN as a mandatory item - failed. Is there anyway to sync the PIN for all services to avoid the above?

The pin code for all three apps is the same. it is stored in the ldap directory. If you change the pin code in the ldap directory via the ccmuser portal then yes you have to change you prameters in your services. you can look at it this way. if you change your password to a web page on the internet you are going to be required to enter your new password not you old. and if you happen to have two web sites that use the same database for authentication changing the password for one is going to change the password on the other. so to summarize all of this apps uses the pin code from the ldap directory so if it changed all of the app need to know what the new pin is.
