Hello everyone,

I have an analog device (Cash Terminal) that requires an analog telephone line to communicate with the central office to do cash transactions. The problem is that I only have digital telephone lines. Would the Cisco ATA 190 convert the Digital signal into an analog?

Thanks.

Hi @fmacias.duarte

The ata 190 can be registered only with sip control. In the same way as sip phone you have to create dn and pool associated with the id mac of the ata 190.

Then you can plug 2 analogic phones with RJ-11 connection on your ata 190.

After the registration period you can call with your analogic phone.

Best regards

Not really convert from digital to analog but transaction machines act like a modem. So every time a transaction is done, a modem call is established and data is transferred. Yes, you can do this with ATA 190. You would need to use modem passthrough as the protocol on your network to take care of this.
