Cisco softphone connected through 79xx

If you connect a PC with Softphone installed through a Cisco IP phone and you configure the IP phone's switch port to "trust extend cos 1" will the Softphone voice data be a cos of 1 or 5, I can't seem to find this information on the web/Cisco web site.

I think that you are correct. Being that cos is related to 802.1q tagging and your PC is sending out the frame un-encapsulated, there will be no cos tagging at all until it hits the switch and gets assigned the value of "1".
