It's a high density analog gateway. There's a 25pair connector which allows you to cable out to a patch panel or terminal block. 24 analog ports for fax machines, modems, etc (last pair is unused/ground). You can run sccp or mgcp for easier management or sip/h.323 since it's an ios gateway afterall.
