click and pop sounds on 7920

Hi all,

I have CCM3.2(3)sr3 and fxo ports on vg200. when I use 7920 to call outbound with g.729, I hear click and pop sound frequently and this is very annoying. I am wondering if someone get the solution.

PS. there is no click with g.711

Disable VAD on every device will solve your problem.

From all the Cisco Documentation that I've seen so far, VAD is only disabled from CallManager and the gateway. So how do you disable it on the actual device? Also as a side note, Callmanager by default has VAD disabled, which is making it even harder to figure out if VAD is the problem in the first place.
