CME 3 v Unified CME

Hi,

Does anyomne know a good link for CME3.* versus the new Unified feature comparisons?

Whats better about the new version?

How stable is it and has anyone rolled/rolling it out?

Hi - don't be put off by the title, it's basically an upgrade to 3.4, the new 'unified' tag and 4.0 version number are more marketing guff than anything else.

It could just as well be 3.5 but there are quite a few new features:

CIPC support

remote telework w/g729 support (no CAC though!)

VTAdvantage support

As well as general improvements to the ACD/hunt group functions, addition of feature access code options, and ability to restrict access to some features on a per-phone basis...

I've not actually deployed the new version yet though :-)

I find the admin guide referenced above is fairly well written for this product - I'd read through the hunt group and B-ACD sections to get a feel for the config and limitations etc:
