currently i have a ivr application which will redirect (transfered) the call to agent extension. when user call from pstn, caller will hear the first ringback tone, subsequently there is no ringback tone. but the agent extension is ringing.
i think the gateway thinks it has connected to route point, thus cut off the ringback tone. when cti route point transfered the call to agent extension, gateway does not know about it.
is there a way to make cti route point to signal the gateway after it has forwarded the call? (mgcp gateways)
has anyone encounter the same problem, how do i get around it?
Thanks
Sara

We had a similar problem -- ending up setting a Ringback tone as the Network Hold setting for each CTI route point. (Actually, I believe it is set system-wide that way also.) The downside is, you'll need to alert callers that when you "park" a call, they'll hear the phone ringing -- that is a network hold also.

thanks for reply. how do you configure ringbacktone as network hold setting for cti route point. i don't see the choice available when configuring cti route point. can shed some light?
