CUE and Codec

Hi,

I have two remote offices both with CCME and CUE on a single gateway. Due to the limited WAN bandwidth we have configured voice traffice to run G.729. We are experiencing problem when one remote office is trying to leave voicemail message to the other remote office voicemail.

Is there anyway to configure CUE so that it can support G.729? Any other suggestions?

G.729 is supported on CUE accross WAN links. You need to configure transcoding for this purpose.

Currently Transcoding is not supported in CCME so your design is not supported. Your only options are to have CUE at every site or a centralised Unity (Full version) design.

Hopefully Cisco will sort this in future but for the moment it is unavailable
