Destination pattern command alternative

Is there a alternative command if you don't want to apply the destination pattern command under the dial-peer voip command. What command can be used instead to call an outbound number (voip) without using the destination pattern command.

Cisco IOS associates its dial-peer to the calling number or to the called numbered.

Please let me know, base on which call information parameters you would like to capture the call?

I need a dial pattern say '5555' to dial a phone beyond th ip network, is there any other command I can use instead of the destination pattern command to dial out to the phone 5555.
