Is there a recommended lease duration for the DHCP settings on the 7960 phones? Are there any negative impacts if I set the duration to 30 days? I'm thinking this would reduce our AD replication traffic but want to ensure that I don't break anything else.

DHCP lease time does not affect functionality at all. Use short lease time for very dynamic network and long lease time for static network.
What percentage is current DHCP traffic on your network? If it is already small enough changing lease time will have no visible effect.

We are in the process of evaluating our DHCP settings as they are way too low (4 hour lease times). We have seperate VLANs for the phone and I was thinking that I can reduce traffic (which is pretty substantial right now) by raising the lease time on the voice VLANs. Our phones very rarely move around so we're rather static.
