Unity isn't involved in the fax delivery to the end user's mailbox... that needs to happen with a 3rd party fax server (several have been tested and qualified, others are easy to add). The single DID will be hard to pull off since it would require that someone know what the inbound call was (voice or fax) which would involve CNG tone detection which isn't available at our level. This can be done at the router level from what I understand but it would involve a canned prompt coming up to essentially "ask" the caller if it was a voice or fax call... not ideal.
the easiest way to deal with this is to have seperate numbers for fax and voice. Handling this smoothly from the routing hardware, to CM, to Unity and around to the fax server (or providing our own fax server on box) is a little ways off I'm afraid.
