DMM 5.2.2 -TV/LCD RS232 state information

Hello,

We need add to the reporting the state of the TV-LCD when the DMP sends a RS232 command to the TV.
When the DMP send to the TV a command via RS232 (for example TV ON) if the TV answer with an RS232 ACK command, could the player know if the TV is ON or OFF and send a syslog to the DMM about this?
This is an important issue for the "proof of play" becouse the content can be sended to the TV  but if the TV is in OFF state the report is not valid.

In DMS version 5.2.2, The DMM-DSM provides the status of the attached Display (Cisco Display).

The feature was added so that you can enable the "Status Pollling Service" via a System

Task.  So if you have a Cisco Display attached to the DMP and you are running DMS version

5.2.2, you can enable this feature.

In regards to reporting & PoP,  I know that there is ongoing discussions and work in improvements

in this area.  Please continue to watch the cisco.com websites for future releases and announcements

for features & enhancements.  You can also contact your SE or Digital Media Cisco Contact to

inquire more on possible new enhancements in this area.
