All-
We just got the new 4310G DMP and are having an issue with it displaying http content. Has anyone had this same problem or know how to resolve this issue? Our other 4305G and 4400G DMPs do not have this problem.
Cheers,
Jeff Hostilo

Jeff,
Check out the DMP-4310 Data Sheet
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/video/ps9339/ps7220/data_sheet_c78-625677.html
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10690/index.html
The DMP-4310 differs to the DMP-4305 & DMP-4400 in that it does NOT have BROWSER support
for Content. HTTP is only supported as a management interface.

Hi Tomas,
I don't see this in the data sheet, both sheets talk about displaying web-content!
This would definitely be disappointing if this is true...

Erik

It is true, but unfortunatly my sales rep and the data sheets were not real clear about its capabilities.

Hi Jeff,
This is really disappointing. The 5.2.2 DMS release notes stated new support for this device like so....
Cisco Digital Media Player 4310G
All-new DMP 4310G endpoints are the newest model in our versatile family of Cisco Digital Media Players. This newest model introduces many hardware and software features that older DMP models could not include.
But in practise it, at least according to my findings, support for HTTP is crucial and dropping this features renders it pretty useless for companies that have a complete http like CMS setup.
When will support for HTTP/browser be added to this product? Next release?
Regards,
Erik

Is there any update to this question?
Do the roadmaps include http browser support?

I would also like to know when the HTTP browser function will be available. Is it in firmware 5.3.5?

Yes, please, me too. We're runing two distinctly different content streams because of our mixed 4400-4310 envionment. Additionally, I'd like to know if the 4310 will be supporting Flash AS 3 any time soon.
Thanks.

I just got unofficial word that 5.4 will have HTTP. I'm not sure about Flash AS 3.

Hi. The HTTP support is indeed very encouraging. Is there an expected release date for v 5.4? Thanks!
