Hi Renzil
Looks like to ran into a problem again ! Dont worry ,Looks like art did not install properly ,did u downloa d it from the plugins page from the callmanager page,Go ahead and Uninstall it from Add /remove programes in controll panel and reinstall it again and if that does not helps ,get the car _install log file which gets created for the installation ,I hope u are only installing this on the publisher .
Thanks

ART must be installed on the server running the Publisher database for Cisco CallManager.
When you attempt to install the CDR plugin, is this when you receive the error "could not connect to the ccm database". I would expect this error to occur if you were installing the application on another server other than the Publisher.
Have you updated the URL Plugin for CDR with an IP address instead of the hostname. This removes the DNS dependency when trying to open/install the application.

Hi Renzil
In your case ,art is not even installed ,thats why you dont see it in add/remove programmes ,Also car_install log file wont help as the Installation never started ,You get this error while downloading the plugin .You can only install art on the publisher .
Thanks

Hi Aman,
I am very sure I did mention publisher at time of installation. However can I findout whether the installed server is an publisher or subscriber ??
Also assuming if the CM installed is a subscriber whats the procedure to revert back ? I have all therelevent CD's with me .

Hi Rezil
Looking at the Log for Car install ,I see this
"3-6-2005 18:10:01 : No running version of CAR found in this server and there is no CAR database found so exiting CAR installation."
This is strange because when U install Car ,it creates a database called Art in sql from where all the report data is fetched .Anthor reason for this Error could be that You are installing Car on a server which is not the Publisher as the Publisher sql server has this database only. Also can u give me a clear account of what is happenning here ..
When are you getting this error ,When you are intsalling car after downloading it from the plugins page or do u get this error when u download it from the plugings page ..
Again I doubt You are installing this on the Publisher ...
Thanks

Hi Aman,
I see the Replication Monitor folder as well as the Publications folder under the Sql server. This is a Publisher server for sure :-) This installation is on a new MCS server 7825 with CM4.1 software.
I get the error when i try to download car from the plugin page itself.

Hi Renzil
U can always check the server by going in to sql and checking the enterprise manager ,for the replication monitor and publications folder ,They are only present on the publisher ,also i would got through the logs u attached ,was CAR installed on this server before as well...
Thanks

Hi Renzil, further to my previous post, is there any indication in the hostname, or CallManager group as to the server description. This may help identify whether you are attempting to install the plugin.
Alternatively, as per the previous post, verify through Enterprise parameters, and open the server workgroup expand the CCM030X folder, and look at the publication.
You may find that not all servers in your cluster are available in the group to browse. If this is the case simply check each server for the publicaion, or add each of the servers to the workgroup through new SQL server registeration.
Best regards
Allan.

This installation is on a single MCS 7825 server. No cluster .
In the CDR parameters under the Enterprise Parameters Config, I have mentioned \\10.1.1.5\CDR for the CDR UNC Path.
From the SQL server Enterprise Manager , I see the CCM0300 file under the publications folder.

Hi Renzil
OK ! GO to the callmanager harddrive c:\ciscoplugins\server ,You would see the art plugin ,Try installing from there and if it fails collect the car_install log file .
Thanks

Hi Renzil
You would need to go to Sources (ODBC) --> System DSN --> CiscoCallManager -->
Configur it so that it points to the current callmanager database ,if u can do that then its fine ,Other wise open a Tac case so that a Tac engineer could correct this for you.
Thanks
