Error when upgrading meetingplace

Hi all

I am upgrading meetingplace from 8.5.2 to 8.5.4

When I start the upgrade I get this error:

DNS Upgrade Condition Check: Failed

-----------------------------------

DNS validation failed.

Error: There is no DNS entry to match server name meetingplace01.atlanta.is and

IP 10.172.60.204.

I can ping the name and address so the DNS is working.

Anyone know a solution to this?

Hey Thorgrimur,

MP and praticularily MP upgrade process is sensitive to DNS to the point you'll get this error if any of these conditions are not met:

#resolve for the IP of the server providing the hostname

#resolve the FQDN of the server providing the IP (the reverse pointer record)

#match the letter case of the above processes. Important recommendation here: keep everything in lowercase on both configured hostname/FQDN on server side AND alo on the DNS side.

Most likely you're seeing this because items 2 or 3 above are not exactly in place.
