This is killing me. I have setup the user device profile. I had a misconfiguration in the beginning when the user first tried to login to phone. It said authentication failure error 9. I have since deleted and recreated the device profile and did all the associating and enabling required. I personally can log in to phones, this new user can't. It tells him "User logged in elsewhere. I have disabled extension mobility, reset the phone, enabled extension mobility, and reset the phone again. All to no avail. He has tried to log in to 2 phones in the past (with the misconfigured profile) and I have reset both. I try to log into my phone with his creditials (I reset the pin just to be sure) and I get the same message. I have looked at the phones profiles and it does not show him logged in to any of the 3 phones he has tried to log into.

Make sure the USER dierectoy accoutn (Login Accoutn) is not asscoaite witha nay phone as the onwer of the phone.
If you look at the phone configuration after the description, you have the option to select the Onwer for the phone. If this is asscoaited with a phone then you will get thie error.
If this does nto help delete the users information from the directory and recreat and let the login name be differnt this time.

I had heard that putting a name in the owner of a phone would screw stuff up. I do not have anything in any of the owner boxes on any phone. I only have associations from user to devices. I was hoping I would not have to delete his username. One, it is also his windows username (I would like to keep them the same), two, he has Outlook dialer and VMO installed using his current username. Three, he is the owner of the company. If I get no other suggestions though, that is the course I will take.
Thanks

UPDATE. Sure enough, I had forgotten about the ipcommunicator I had put on his laptop. I assigned an owner to it. I stumps me as to why it shows him logged on when it isn't even running. But it apparently did. I removed the owner from that field an BOOM, he could log on just fine.
Thanks
