When my EM users login or logout the phone resets. I found a description of this under Extension Mobility Troubleshooting:
"After a login or logout is performed, the phone resets instead of restarting.
Problem: The phone is using DNS to resolve the Cisco CallManager name.
Solution: Change System > Server name to an IP address. Reset the phone and try the login/logout procedure again"
In my CallManager system > Server I have an IP address. All of the URLs in CallManager have IP and not hostname. I am not passing DNS settings to the phones.
Any ideas?

Does it look like the phone is rebooting completely or does the screen only flash? Are you using different phone button templates with EM (one template for the normal device profile and another template for the user)? If the phone only flashes and an error in the event log is what you are seeing, than this is absolutely normal.

The phone is rebooting completely. We may have phone button templates defined for both the normale device profile and the user. I will check.
