External caller name / info

Hi all,

Is there any configuration that can make the IP Phone can show the caller name / info for PSTN call. Such as having a table to map the name to a PSTN ANI.

If you are using MGCP it is supported to have configured Facility IE or Display IE, if you

are using H.323 you can only use Display IE.

Also in CallManager in the GW configuration you need to have the box enable about this

settings. Then set the caller name on the phone.

This is all that is needed from the CCM side, everything else needs to be from the telco, if you are sending the caller name the telco needs to accept it, you can use a debug isdn q931 to see what the GW is seeing, if in the debug you see a sequence of hexadecimal numbers as the information

element of the name then it is configured as Facility IE, if you see the name then you are using Display IE.
