fax problems with h.323, CM 3.1(2c)

I am using the following scenario:

Fax --- Cat65/ 24-Port-FXS --- CallManager 3.1 --- C3600/ HDV-E1 --- PSTN (S2M)

FXS board and router are running H.323. I am running 6.2(3) on the Cat and I tried 12.2(5), 12.2(6a), 12.2(6b) and 12.2(7) on 3600. I configured fax

passthrough, but I also tried fax relay.

The problem is that sending faxes goes broken after 3 or more pages with "normal" fax devices on the other site. Sending to a PC fax device doesn´t work at all.

With fax relay, after receiving a fax from a PC fax station, the sending fax station is not informed about successful send and starts resending the fax several times.

Any ideas???

Hi, you must be callmanager software upgrade to

(versión 3.1(2c)) and config Catalyst 24 Port Fxs to Fax Relay.

Another solution, using ATA186 (H323 version 2.13), g711 a-law and FAX Passthroug, directly connected to GW3640.(2400 bps)

Thx, but we are using 3.1(2c), and we still have the problems with fax relay as well: e.g. incoming fax is disconnected after 4 of 6 pages, outgoing fax disconnects after 5 of 20 pages, ...

We've run into similar issues; although not with the 6624 blade.

Here's a link that TAC sent me, basically we're waiting for 12.2(2)XN for MGCP fax pass-through support on our 2600/3600's. We've been told that 12.2(2)XN will be available by June.

We've been told that H323 Fax Pass-through support will eventually surface later this year, dates are unknown.

Well, we have to do it with H.323, so I put everything to fax relay now, running 12.2(7a) on the gateway. Are all of the features of 12.2(2)XN integrated in 12.2(7a) or might this XN version be the better choice?
