Is there a way to have a phone forward to another phone after 4 rings rather than go to voicemail.

We are using CCM 4.1.(3)sr2 & have 7941 IP phones

In CCMAdmin go to Device --> Phone, select the phone that you want to forward, go to the line and under Call Forward and Pickup Settings, put the extension in the Forward No answer or Forward Busy according of what you want in the Coverage/Destination field. Make sure that the VM box is NOT checked

you can setup the phone to callForwardNoAnswer to another phone in the phones Device Configuration within CCM Admin.

on the phone that you want forwarding to happen:

1) goto the line configuration page of the phone

2) under the "CallForward and PickupSettings" section, enter the extension to be forwarded too in the 'coverage/destination' field of the CFNA fields. (set a proper CSS if required)

3) uncheck the box to the left of the field if it is checked. (this prevents the call from going to voiceMail)

4) update the phone config and test.

Just put the extension of the phone instead of checking the VM box in the phone configuration

hi ,

On the ephone-dn you just have to declare

call-forward noan XXX timeout 10

where XXX is another phone extension , and timeout 10 is equivalent to 10 secs, just enough time for 4 rings before get redirected to XXX

best, regards
