Hi, I have a 2611XM acting as a gatekeeper. How many concurrent calls can it handle? It didn't say it in its profile. I guess because there is not really a voice call in the gatekeeper, the voice call limitation should be higher than the actual voice call if it acts as a gateway.
Thanks.

Cisco Gatekeeper can handle a lot more calls then you would need in this type of environmnet. If you want to can limit the number of concurrent calls (Call Admission Control) by setting the interzone bandwidth limits, and total bandwidth.
So, yes you are correct, you should be warring about how many calls can your gateway accomandate (how many T1s, etc)

Nice doc about CAC:

I guess Cisco is very unclear about the numbers of the calls the GK can handle. I understand it all depends on the CPU load, etc. But at least Cisco should give an estimated number.
Is there any doc talks about the numbers of calls?
I appreciate your help.

Do you know if a Cisco Gatekeeper (7200) can handle more than 500 calls per second? Do you know where can I find specifications about the gatekeeper capacity? I don't use CAC. The CAC feature is performed by my route server.

Hi,
I found the following:
Running on the Cisco 7200, performance and scale of the MCM H.323 Gatekeeper is greatly increased-- from 600 VoIP calls on a Cisco 2600 multiservice access platform to over 3000 calls on the Cisco 7200 series
12.1(5)XM
The H323 GK Enhancements have the followoing key features:
Gatekeeper Perfomance: *Minimum* of 30 Calls / Sec.
With a gatekeeper cluster you can do load balancing too.
I'm not quite sure if that is what you looked for. Anyway, contact your Cisco account team for this type of question.
