I configure a gateway in my call manager to register with a gatekeer. The registration is ok. I put a sniffer in the middle and i see a lote of packets exchanged beteween the gateway and the gatekeeper. Those packets are admisson request and admission confirmed. They are always exchange those packets. Is it normal?

Yes. Review this doc for more information about how gatekeeper works.

yes, these are keepalives between the "gateway" and gatkeeper. Their is a "Registration Request Time to Live" and the gatekeeper expects the gateway to send it an RRQ before that time expires and the gatekeeper replies with either an RCF (confirm) or RRJ (reject).

I understand that but i see in my sniffer many many packets and the led in the switch is flashing very fast even with no calls going on. Do you know how many keepalives packets should be by second or minute? Because i think i have too many GRQ and GCF packets.
