Getting Started - IP Telephony

Ihave a new very Small office - less than 30 people. Looking to take the first step into IP Telephones, if it makes sense. What Cisco products do I start to look at inorder to interface (TIE line) back to my Avaya PBX ? Will it support outside services as well ? DID and CO trunking.?
